- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆We recently, for the first time, hired a narrowboat for a week on the Trent Mersey Canal. We had no planns and stopped where the fancey took us. We found ourselves at Barton Turn and stopped for lunch in the Inn. The menu whilst small is good and the food was delivered quickly, of quality and value for Money. The atmosphere is great and the Land Lord and Lady made us feel very welcome in front of the open wood fire. It was so comfortable to be there we visited a further two times during our voyage.
